For 2012 , Olympic year,'CanYou Sing' will run its own Marathon Summer Opera Course ,from the middle of August to early September.

Following it's success last year under the direction of award winning Swiss conductor, Emmanuel Siffert,we will once again be promoting an Opera Conducting Course,running from the 19th of August,in Porthcawl,with Emmanuel  again at the helm.!

Expert intense tuition will be given for several days ,and then the conductors will be joined by the singers of the Opera Course, which will run fromSat Aug 25th until Sat Sept 8th.The Conductors will  be given the opportunity of conducting some of the opera rehearsal scenes,and also the option of staying for the final week of the opera course ,and work with the Welsh Concert Orchestra.

The Opera course will take its usual format of working towards 6-8 scenes in preparation for a Gala Concert with Orchestra on the last night, with full staging,lights and costumes.There will also be individual coaching available and Masterclasses by eminent singers.The opera course will once again feature Children as Chorus in some of the scenes, and also feature Workshops from some of the staff for the general public and schools.Full details of staff and theatres available soon.

Exciting news !Can You Sing' is pleased to announce a collaboration with Echo Opera Summer Course next July in Madrid. It's director, Stefan Sanchez,will join our staff ,and Patricia O'Neill will join the staff in Madrid.Watch this space for further developements and contacts.!!
